New Auburn Personal Computer Services is a small consulting company that specializes in web development for small businesses. The company was started in 1995 in a small town in rural Wisconsin, providing support for personal computers to individuals, small businesses, and the local high-school.

In late 1995, we immediately saw the power and potential of the World Wide Web. The company became the only web contractor in the area, designing and supporting web sites for several local business.

Over the last 15 years, NAPCS has developed web sites, web applications, and even a 30-second movie trailer and helped several companies increase profits significantly through consulting, training, and mentoring.

In 2007, we began offering Ruby on Rails code-auditing, which is a great way to ensure that your developers are creating quality web applications. Several companies have taken advantage of this service with great success.

About the owner

Brian Hogan has developed hundreds of web pages since 1999, including pages for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Brian is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and holds a degree in business administration with an emphasis in Information Technology Management. He continues to work at the University, mentoring student application developers and supporting the Web Development Services area.

He is an active member of the Ruby on Rails community, volunteering his time to answer questions on the Ruby on Rails mailing list, IRC channel, and through the Rails Mentors program he coordinates.

He has written several popular articles on Rails development and deployment.

He is the author or co-author of several technical books. He has contributed to Deploying Rails Applications and is the author of Web Design For Developers
